AccessLouisianaBusiness implements a simple and extensive search mechanism based on the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) in providing access to targeted business partners. The search engine allows keyword, partial word and composite advanced search capabilities, making it easy to find the most relevant information about Louisiana businesses and their products/services.

Registered members have access to a secure portal to make their products/services available on-line. Companies have the ability to extend their reach to local, national, and international customers, without an expensive or laborious registration process. To register, all that a company is required to do is verify its company profile retrieved from a pre-populated database. How do I register my company?

AccessLouisianaBusiness is pre-populated with a listing of Louisiana companies with default company profiles. To register, select the "Join" button on the left menu and follow the instructions in that section. During the registration process, you will be required to create a User ID and Password. For member security, all new members are verified before any changes are made to the database. What companies are eligible to register?

AccessLouisianaBusiness is an Internet-based business directory promoting business opportunities and economic development in Louisiana. The goal is to increase sales and business-to-business partnerships for Louisiana companies. Therefore, any Louisiana business consisting of more than two employees and included in the nine industry clusters identified by the Louisiana Department of Economic Development's Vision 2020 initiative may participate. The clusters include: Advanced Materials, Agriculture / Forestry / Food, Durable Goods / Manufacturing, Energy / Oil & Gas, Entertainment, Information Technology, Life Science / Biotechnology / Biomedical, Logistics / Transportation, and Petrochemical Technology.

What do I do if I need to change my company's information?

If you are not registered member of AccessLouisianaBusiness, you must first register (see above - "How do I register my Company?").

If you are already a registered member of AccessLouisianaBusiness, you can change your company information online anytime by selecting the "Member Login" option on the left menu. Once logged in you will be provided with options to edit your company profile, certifications, foreign markets, and products/services.

Why can't I find the company I am looking for?

Although our database is pre-populated with Louisiana companies, there may be some not yet listed in our database. What should I do if I contacted a company and discovered that they are no longer in business?

Our goal is to keep the data provided by AccessLouisianaBusiness as up-to-date as possible. If you discover a company in our database that is no longer in business, please email clwilliams@louisiana.edu the name of the company with a brief note stating the company is no longer in business.
